Sorry to be the bearer of bad news ptu12 - but in order to learn flash you really need to have flash! If you want to learn actionscript then there are free alternatives to adobe products such as flashdevlop(the equivalent of flashbuilder/flex). You can achieve the same results this way but the process is much different.

Hope will help!
